What's in a Name?
There seems to be a couple bands out there now using our name. Do not be fooled
ABANDONED Fans, these are impostors. As you may know, we formed in the early
1990's and we have the name ABANDONED trademarked. It is illegal for these bands to
use our name, however, it is sometimes very difficult to track them down. Even if they
cease to use it, the material they created using the name still exists on the web.
So don't let them fool you...WE ARE ABANDONED!!

Thank you all for your continued support for Tim Rassa, the right hand of
Abandoned. He and Abandoned appreciate your support and continued
following of us even if we haven't been able to be out and about lately due to
Tim's health. He is getting better and we will be back out soon!!
If you don't know and haven't been following, Tim has had a rough go at it. It
started with Tim having more and more pain in his back and hip. A little over two
years ago Tim went into the doctor and found out that he needed open heart
surgery immediately. He went through great and after recovery for that, his back
pain was addressed and it was decided that surgery on his back was necessary.
Again, the surgery went well and he went through all the PT needed to get well
enough. Unfortunately not well enough to play, just well enough for what was
thought to be the last surgery. Hip surgery.
His hip surgery went well, but it did knock him out of almost everything for quite
some time. Long PT followed just to find out that the new hip was defective and
needed to be replaced. SHIT!! I believe that was his statement. I even heard it
from the other side of town. So back into surgery for a very unpleasant second go
around. He just went through that and is doing great. He is PT now and as soon
as he feels he can do it, Abandoned will be back on the road. After all, you never
leave a man behind. Thanks again and Tim appreciates all the email!!
